Volunteering at Iowa River Hospice is a rewarding way to enhance the lives of hospice patients and their families. There are many ways you can volunteer at Iowa River Hospice, all of which help patients and their families through a difficult time in their lives. Through providing patient and family support, helping at the Hospice Home, or volunteering in other ways, volunteers at Iowa River Hospice are truly making a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Provide companionship to patients
  • Run errands for caregivers and other family members
  • Make shopping trips
  • Complete activities with patients — games, sewing, cooking, laundry, etc.

There are also various other chances to volunteer with Iowa River Hospice such as working at fundraising events, gardening, and helping in the office and mailing duties at Iowa River Hospice.
